If you’re craving a quick and delightful dessert that never fails to impress, look no further than Banana Rum Surprise. This dessert is not only incredibly fast to make, but it also offers a burst of flavor that will leave you wanting more.
The star of this dessert is the humble banana, just a perfectly ripe one will do. By combining it with a few key ingredients, you can create a delightful surprise that will tantalize your taste buds. A touch of butter adds richness and enhances the natural sweetness of the banana. The addition of rum, cognac, or Grand Marnier liquor brings a delightful boozy note, elevating the flavor profile and adding a hint of sophistication.
While traditionally this surprise is wrapped in a crepe, you can easily use a flour tortilla as a quick alternative. If you prefer to skip the preparation altogether, ready-made crepes are also available in many stores. The beauty of this dessert lies in its simplicity and versatility.
For an extra touch of indulgence, you can serve it with fresh cream or opt for Baked Apple Skyr, which adds a creamy and tangy twist. If you have pomegranate molasses on hand, it provides an optional yet delightful layer of complexity to the dish.
While you can certainly elevate the presentation by adding cream or fresh berries on top, the true magic of Banana Rum Surprise lies within its simplicity. The real surprise is the explosion of flavors that awaits inside the crepe or tortilla.
Whether you’re in need of a quick treat for yourself or want to impress guests with minimal effort, Banana Rum Surprise is the perfect choice. Its fast preparation, delightful flavors, and surprising richness make it a go-to dessert that never disappoints.
Banana Rum Surprise
Description
When you find yourself wanting a real quick and easy dessert, this is the fastest! You can make this with a crepe but if you don't feel like making a crepe you can simply use a flour tortilla that works as well. Though these days many stores also carry ready-made crepes. All you need is a banana, just an ordinary ripe banana, some butter, a bit of rum or cognac, or Grand Marnier liquor and of course fresh cream if you like or I like Baked Apple Skyr in case you have it available at the stores near you or in your refrigerator. The only special ingredient that is optional is the pomegranate molasses. It is simple, fast but delicious. The nice thing is it looks very simple when it is wrapped in a crepe or tortilla all the surprise is the burst of flavor inside. Of course, if you want to make it fancier then you can add the cream or fresh berries on top so it looks more like a dessert, but frankly, I like the simplicity and the surprising richness inside.
